The Garden Tomb was discovered by a group of British Christians. Archeological evidence were found of a two roomed Herodian tomb, a huge, deep cistern and a skull shaped hill, as detailed in the New Testament. All led them to believe this to be the possible site of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection of Jesus.
